QLD: 14-year-old boy charged with rape
BRISBANE, April 22 AAP - A 14-year-old boy will appear in the Brisbane Children's Court
on Thursday on rape charges.
The arrest follows investigations into the alleged sexual assault of a 19-year-old
woman as she walked along Gympie Road, Chermside on Brisbane's northside about 9.30pm
(AEST) on March 29.
The woman was allegedly grabbed by a male who dragged her behind an industrial bin,
raped her and stole her bank card before running off.
She was taken to hospital and treated for injuries which included cuts and bruises.
The boy has been charged with rape, assault, deprivation of liberty and robbery.
